The University of Findlay and their men’s basketball team would like to invite all fans to Croy Gymnasium on Thursday, April 16, for a celebration of the Oilers’ historic 36-0 season. The event, which will allow the Oilers’ players and coaches to interact with and applaud the fans for their support during their national championship run, is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.

Fans will have the opportunity to mingle with players and coaches, take pictures with their favorite student-athletes and receive autographs from the entire team.

The first 1,000 fans to enter the gate, which opens at 6:30 p.m., will also receive a 2009 NCAA Division II National Championship poster, courtesy of the Kennedy Printing Company.

Highlight DVD’s by Zulauf Productions of the Oilers magical run will be available for purchase as well at the event. The DVD’s can be purchased for $20.

Mayor Pete Sehnert will also be on hand to present a proclamation honoring the Oilers undefeated season, culminating with the 2009 NCAA Division II National Championship.

Dr. DeBow Freed, President of The University of Findlay, and Dr. Richard Becket, UF Board of Trustees President, will be speaking as well at the event.
