Women's Soccer Snaps Skid, Wins 2-1 Over Eagles

The University of Findlay women’s soccer team defeated Ashland University 2-1 on Sunday, October 25 at DeHaven Field. The victory gives the Oilers a 5-9-2 record on the season with a 4-7-2 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

Down 1-0 in the second half, Emily Beddoes tied the game at the 68:06 mark with an unassisted score followed by the game-winner from Sara Jones off of an assist from Brittany Guglielmi with just over ten minutes to play.

Alicia Tutino made one save in the net for Findlay to earn the win as the Oilers out-shot the Eagles 19-3.

The Oilers will be back in action again on October 31 when they face Tiffin University at 12:00 p.m. in Tiffin, Ohio.
