The University of Findlay baseball team lost two games to Tiffin University on Friday, March 22 in Tiffin, Ohio.
In game one, the Oilers trailed 5-3 in the sixth when Jon Shollenberger doubled home Blake Schmenk to open the door for a big inning. After Tommy Roush singled in Shollenberger to make the score 5-5, Victor Migliore kept the rally going with a double, advancing Roush to third. The Oilers took the 6-5 lead Dylan Cintula reached on an error to score Roush.
However, Findlay was unable to close the door, allowing one run in the bottom of the sixth, and the winning run in the seventh for the 7-6 loss.
Shollenberger, Roush, Migliore and Jordan Garcia each recorded two hits for the Oilers while Schmenk was 1-for-4 with a two run double.
Findlay lost game two by the score of 20-5.
The baseball team will be back in action tomorrow when they take on Northwood University in a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. The games will be played at Tiffin University due to inclement weather in Michigan.
