The University of Findlay baseball team was lost both games of a twin bill against Ashland University on Wednesday, May 1st in Ashland, Ohio.
Ashland scored two runs in the first and held off the Oilers for the 2-1 victory.
Joe Sickler homered to put Findlay on the board in the top of the third but that's all the offense would muster.
The Oilers would come close in the sixth with men and second and third with no outs, however, three straight outs would follow as they were unable to bring any of the runners home.
Despite the loss, Drew Hargrove had a stellar performance on the mound allowing just two unearned runs on five hits while striking out one in five and two thirds innings.
Findlay's offensive woes continued in game two on the way to an 8-1 loss.
Ethan James took the loss, allowing three earned runs on nine hits while striking out one in three and a third innings.
The Oilers move to 19-23 on the season with a 12-17 mark in GLIAC play. They will be back in action for their final three games of the season against Malone on Saturday.
