The University of Findlay women’s basketball program will be at home a total of 10 times during the 2010-11 season as the program released their schedule on Thursday, August 12. The Oilers schedule this season looks a little different than in past years due to the time changes instituted by the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).
The team will begin their season with an exhibition game against Bowling Green State University on November 3 at 7 p.m. in Bowling Green, Ohio and then travel to South Euclid, Ohio to face Notre Dame College for their first regular season game beginning at 2 p.m. on November 13.
On November 16, the Oilers will host Cedarville University at 6 p.m. in Croy Gymnasium before competing in the Tiffin Tip-Off Classic on November 19-20.
The team will play Mercyhurst College on November 19 at 7:30 p.m. and Alderson-Broaddus College on November 20 at 2 p.m. in Tiffin, Ohio.
On November 28, the Oilers will travel to Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania to compete against Slippery Rock University at 1 p.m. before taking on Northwood University in their GLIAC opener on December 2 at 8 p.m. in Midland, Michigan.
The Oilers will head to University Center, Michigan on December 11 for a 3 p.m. contest against Saginaw Valley State University before facing Tiffin University on December 16 at 8 p.m. in Tiffin, Ohio.
After playing Tiffin, the Oilers will return home to face Ohio Dominican University on December 18 at 3 p.m. and then have an open date on December 29, which they are currently trying to fill.
The Oilers will begin 2011 on January 5 against Ashland University for a 8 p.m. contest in Croy Gymnasium, travel to Detroit, Michigan on January 8 for a 3 p.m. game and then return home for two consecutive contests against Lake Erie College and Wayne State.
The Oilers will play Lake Erie on January 13 at 8 p.m. and host Wayne State on January 15 at 3 p.m.
On January 20, the Oilers will travel to Hillsdale, Michigan to face Hillsdale College at 6 p.m. and will then head to Urbana, Ohio to face Urbana University at 2 p.m. on January 22 before making a trip to Painesville, Ohio to compete against Lake Erie on January 27 at 7:30 p.m.
The Oilers will be in Ashland, Ohio on January 29 for a 3 p.m. game and then play their next three contests in Croy Gymnasium beginning on February 3 and ending on February 10.
Findlay plays Michigan Technological University on the 3rd at 8 p.m., faces Northern Michigan University on February 5 at 3 p.m. and then concludes the three-game set on February 10 against Tiffin at 8 p.m.
After playing three straight games at home, the Oilers will be back out on the road for three games beginning on February 12 against Ohio Dominican at 3 p.m. in Columbus, Ohio. They will then head to Allendale, Michigan on February 17 for a 8 p.m. game against Grand Valley State University before facing Ferris State University at 3 p.m. in Big Rapids, Michigan.
The Oilers last two regular season games will take place at home as they host Hillsdale at 8 p.m. on February 24 and Lake Superior State University at 3 p.m. on February 26.
The GLIAC Tournament is scheduled to take place on March 1-5 with the NCAA Division II Midwest Region Tournament slated for March 12-15.
