The University of Findlay track and field program had nine student-athletes earn United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) academic all-American honors for the 2005-06 season. In addition, the women’s program was one of 48 in NCAA Division II to earn the USTFCCCA all-academic team award.
A team GPA of 3.0 was needed in order to qualify for the honor. Findlay’s women’s team compiled a 3.32.
On the women’s side, Abbie Shook, Alana Margraf, Danielle Grochowalski, Jessica Latham, Kirby Blackley, Megan Alcock and Pamela Bullock were named USTFCCCA academic all-Americans.
On the men’s side, Dakel Vicks and Josh Swift were named USTFCCCA academic all-Americans.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA all-academic track and field team, an athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher and must have met the NCAA Division II national qualifying standard in her event.
