Stella Prescott came to Findlay before the 2011-12 campaign and for the past 16 years, Prescott has been instructing students in the art of riding Hunters and Hunt Seat Equitation.  She also has a background in Jumpers, Dressage and Horsemanship.

Prescott has coached students from beginner walk/trot on the local level to Junior/Adult Equitation and Pony riders on the A/AA level and enjoys teaching lessons and watching students progress.

Prescott graduated from the University of Georgia in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree.  Her major was in Equine Science with a minor in Agriculture Business.

While at Georgia, Prescott rode on the University of Georgia’s intercollegiate equestrian team for four years.  During her senior year she did a fellowship at the University of Queensland, Australia.  While in Australia she taught several lecture and riding classes per week, and studied under Kenny Mae, a widely known "natural horsemanship" instructor.

She has also been an avid supporter of local riding and showing clubs.  In 2008, Prescott and her husband started a local circuit Southern Classic Horse Show.  Also in 2008 she helped develop a non–profit program, Leg Up For Riders. However, her favorite volunteer project was being a barn manager for the 1996 Olympic Games in Conyers, Georgia.

Recently, she passed the testing for the United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) Trainer Certification Program and is now classified as a certified trainer.  She is also studying and applying for a Learner Judges Permit through the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF).
