The University of Findlay football team lost 49-19 against Hillsdale College on Saturday, November 5 at Donnell Stadium. The loss gives the Oilers a 5-5 record on the season with a 5-4 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).
The Chargers racked up 587 yards of total offense and averaged 7.4 yards per play during the win.
Hillsdale's Joe Glendening recorded 241 yards rushing and four touchdowns while Anthony Mifsud completed 24-of-30 passing attempts for 249 yards and three scores.
Junior quarterback Clay Belton completed 23-of-38 passes for 242 yards and two touchdowns.
Sophomore wide receiver Seth White caught seven passes for 50 yards, sophomore tight end Jaryd Brown made six receptions for 60 yards and a score while freshman wide receiver Nathan Morris had three catches for 75 yards and a score.
Defensively, senior defensive back Isaiah Ballard led the team with 12 tackles and also registered 132 kickoff return yards.
The Oilers will conclude their season next week at Wayne State. The contest is scheduled to begin at noon in Detroit, Michigan.
