Findlay, Ohio – On Monday, November 6, the third NCAA Division II regional rankings were released and the University of Findlay football team, which is currently ranked #21 in the nation, has been ranked fourth in Super Region One. It is the third consecutive week at that spot in the poll.
Indiana University of Pennsylvania holds the top spot in the region at 9-0 while Assumption College and Shepherd College are in second and third, respectively, with records of 9-0, making the Oilers the highest ranked one-loss team in the region.
This is the third of four regional rankings that will be released before the NCAA Division II Playoffs begin on Nov. 18 with the top seven teams from Super Region One earning a spot. If the Oilers remain in the fourth spot in the final regional rankings released next week, then they would play host to at least the first round of the NCAA DII Playoffs.
