Bostic Named GLIAC Player Of The Week
Senior forward Josh Bostic of The University of Findlay men's basketball team was named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division Player of the Week on Monday, January 12 for the second time this season. The award was the fourth of his career.
Bostic led the top ranked Oilers to a pair of GLIAC wins last week over Wayne State University and Northwood University by averaging 21.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 2.0 assists per game.
In the win 92-77 at Wayne State, Bostic poured in a career-high 31 points and then added 12 points and five rebounds in the Oilers 78-71 victory at Northwood.
He is currently fourth in the GLIAC in scoring at 17.7 points per game and also ranks first in the league in steals at 2.6 per contest.
Bostic was also tabbed the GLIAC Player of the Week on December 1 and has scored 1,249 career points, the 24th best mark in the history of UF basketball.
Bostic's award marks the second straight week a Findlay player has received the honor as senior forward Morgan Lewis was voted the player of the week on January 5.
