Junior forward Taren Sullivan captured Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) South Division Player of the Week honors for the fourth time this season on Feb. 13.
Sullivan earned the honor by averaging 23.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game in the Oilers two victories over Ohio Dominican (2/9) and Lake Erie (2/11) last week.. Sullivan also shot 54.8 percent (17-of-31) from the floor and connected on 9-of-15 (60%) attempts from three point range in the games.
He began the week with a career-high 29 points in the Oilers come from behind, 82-79 victory at Ohio Dominican. He also added eight rebounds and three steals in the game. He then followed with 18 points, ten rebounds, seven assists and three steals in the Oilers 92-55 win at Lake Erie. His double-double against the Storm was his fourth this season.
Sullivan is averaging 17.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.8 blocks per contest for Findlay this year. He has earned GLIAC South Division Player of the Week honors on Jan. 9, Jan. 23, Feb. 6 and Feb. 13.
