The University of Findlay men's basketball team captured their 14th straight win with an 86-73 victory over Ohio Valley University on Jan. 20 in Vienna, W. Va. The win gives the 15th-ranked Oilers an 18-2 record on the season with a 12-0 mark in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play.
The Oilers shot 51.6 percent (33-of-64) from the floor and canned 10-of-22 (45.5%) attempts from behind the three point line. They also scored 27 points off of 17 Ohio Valley turnovers and recorded 18 assists in the game.
Senior forward Taren Sullivan led the Oilers as he tied his career-high with 31 points. Sullivan made 13-of-19 attempts from the field and also added eight rebounds and three assists.
Junior forward Alex White also broke into double figures with ten points and he added a team-high eight rebounds in the game.
The Oilers will be back in action again on Jan. 25 when they return home to host Trevecca Nazarene University. The game is scheduled to tip at 6pm in Croy Gymnasium.
