The University of Findlay men's basketball team came away with a 101-64 win over Ohio Valley University on Feb. 15 in Croy Gymnasium. The win gives the 15th-ranked Oilers a 24-3 record on the season with an 18-1 mark in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC).
The Oilers shot 55.6 percent (40-of-72) from the floor and drained 40.0 percent (10-of-25) of their three point tries in the victory. The Oilers also recorded a season-high 18 steals and blocked our shots in the game.
Senior guard Martyce Kimbrough led the way with 23 points on 7-of-12 shooting. Kimbrough made 4-of-7 tries from long range and also chipped in two assists and a pair of rebounds.
Junior forward Alex White contributed eight points and seven boards, senior guard Elijah Kahlig had seven points and three assists, and senior forward Taren Sullivan stuffed the stat sheet with seven points, seven rebounds, four assists and a career-high four steals.
The Oilers will be back in action again on Feb. 24 when they host Hillsdale College on senior day. Tipoff is slated for a 1pm start in Croy Gymnasium.
