Tweed Leading Oilers at GLIAC Championship


The University of Findlay men's golf team is currently tied for eighth place at the 2012 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championship, which is being held at the Elyria Country Club in Elyria, Ohio.

The Oilers shot a 313 on Sunday, Oct. 14 during the first day of competition and were led by freshman Ty Tweed, who carded a 1-over par score of 73.

Tweed is currently tied for third at the event and finished his round with three birdies and an eagle.

Dustin Lieber (78), Marcus Hunt (80), Jack Kastor (82) and Chien-Han Sung (82) are also competing for Findlay at the event.

The tournament will continue tomorrow and conclude on Tuesday.
