On Monday, Sep. 28, the University of Findlay men's golf team began competition at the DII Midwest Fall Regional at Harborside International Golf Center in Chicago, Ill.
Findlay was led on the course by sophomore Justin Roth, who shot a two-over, 74 in the first round. That score was tied for 51st in the field of 158 golfers.
Freshman Andrew Burns was the Oilers' number two as he shot a +4, 76 (T78).
As a team, the Oilers are sitting in a tie for 26th, out of 31 teams, with a score of 308.
The two-day event features two courses at the HIC Golf Center, the Starboard and the Port. Findlay played the more difficult Starboard course on day one and will switch to play Port tomorrow.
