Monroe, NC – The University of Findlay men's golf team hit the course on Sunday, March 13 when they participated in Round 1 of the Ralph Hargett Invite at the Monroe Country Club in Monroe, North Carolina. The team was scheduled to play two rounds on Sunday, but darkness cut the last 18 holes short. The second round will conclude tomorrow. After one round, the Oilers find themselves in 13th of 17 teams and finished with a team score of 298. The tournament is host to 90 competitors.
Inside the Results:
- Sophomore Justin Roth shot a three-under, 69 in his first round. That score is just two shots off the lead and leaves Roth in a tie for fifth place.
- Dylan DeWitt, a freshman, shot a 75 and is currently tied for 48th.
- Senior Dustin Lieber, freshman Andrew Bruns, and sophomore Cam Wardley all shot 77 in their first round of the tournament. They are currently tied for 77th.
- Senior Kirby Dodge, competing as an individual, shot 83 and is placed in 85th.
The second round will conclude tomorrow morning with the third round to follow.
