DeWitt Leads Oilers on Day 1 at Purgatory


The University of Findlay men's golf team completed day one of the Greyhound Invitational at Purgatory in Noblesville, Ind. on April 8. The Oilers opened the tournament with a 300 and are in 12th place.

Senior Dylan DeWitt led the Oilers during the opening round with a 2-under par score of 70. DeWitt posted five birdies on the day and led the field by going 4-under par on par five holes. He is currently tied for fifth at the event.

Senior Cam Wardley carded a 3-over par score of 75 while senior Justin Roth posted a 4-over par round of 76. Wardley is tied for 46th while Roth is tied for 54th.

Sophomore Luke Kelly shot a 79 and is tied for 77th while sophomore Cameron Bruce had an 80 and is tied for 86th.

The event will continue tomorrow and end on April 10.
