The University of Findlay men's soccer team was defeated 2-1 by Northwood University on Friday, September 16 at DeHaven Field. The loss gives the Oilers a 0-5 record on the season with a 0-3 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).
The Timberwolves scored two goals in the first half to out-distance themselves from the Oilers, who tacked on a goal in the 46th minute off the foot of Teddy Greschel.
Nathan Vidika assisted on the play.
Alex Jurek allowed both goals in the net for Findlay and came away with four saves in one half of play.
Matthew Brooks finished the contest and made two saves for the Oilers.
The Oilers will be back in action again on Sunday when they host Saginaw Valley State University at 2:30 pm.
