The University of Findlay men's soccer team defeated Walsh University by the score of 2-0 on Friday, Sept. 28 in Findlay Ohio.
The Oilers needed an entire half to score their first goal but it finally came in the 55th minute when Kyle Pahren caught a loose ball inside the box and slipped it past the keeper for the 1-0 lead.
Then, in the 81st minute, Shane McGee blistered a shot from about 30-yards out into the top right corner of the net to seal the deal.
Findlay outshot Walsh 15 to 9 in the contest, putting 8 of those shots on goal.
Matthew Brooks stopped all four shots that headed his way to pick up his fifth win of the year and second shutout.
With the victory, the Oilers move to 4-4-0 overall with a 2-4-0 mark in GLIAC play. They will hit the road to take on Malone in their next matchup this Sunday.
