The University of Findlay men's soccer team was defeated by Lake Erie College 2-0 on Sunday, Oct. 7 in Findlay Ohio.
The teams were evenly matched until the 33rd minute of the first half when the Storm beat the Oilers defense and scored the first goal of the game. Then in the second half, Lake Erie tacked on their second goal off a diving header found the back of the net after a cross from the left side of the field.
Findlay out-shot the Storm 10-7 for the game, managing five on goal.
Matthew Brooks took the loss between the posts for Findlay, bringing his record to 4-6-0 on the season.
With the loss, the Oilers drop to 4-7-0 on the season with a 2-7-0 mark in GLIAC play. They will be back in action on Sunday, Oct. 14 when they travel to Tiffin to take on the Dragons.
