The University of Findlay men's soccer team defeated Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) opponent Tiffin University 1-0 on Friday, October 18 at DeHaven Field.
The game-winning goal against #20 Tiffin occurred at the 50 minute mark for the Oilers when sophomore Ryan Poyle scored unassisted.
Findlay goalkeeper Joe McClanahan picked up the win in the net and had three saves in the process.
Even though the Dragons had the edge offensively with a 14-8 advantage in shots, the Oilers prevailed with the win.
The Oilers set a new record in fan attendance at today's contest with 205.
The Oilers, who improve to 4-7-1 and 2-7 in GLIAC play, will face GLIAC foe Walsh University in Canton, Ohio on Sunday at 1 p.m.
