The University of Findlay men's soccer team defeated Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) foe Malone University 2-0 on Friday, October 3 in Canton, Ohio.
The Oilers jumped out to a 1-0 lead when senior Veselin Panchev scored in the final seconds of the first half.
The Oilers second goal of the contest occurred when Malone scored on their own goal at the 66 minute mark.
Findlay goalkeeper Ben Richter claimed the victory in the net and had nine saves in the process.
The Oilers had the edge offensively with a 10-7 advantage in corner kicks and a 23-21 advantage in shots.
The Oilers, who are now 3-6 on the season with the victory and have a 2-4 mark in GLIAC play, will travel to Canton, Ohio to face GLIAC rival Walsh University on Sunday, October 5.
