Painesville, OH-The University of Findlay men's soccer team was overcome by the Lake Erie College Storm Sunday, September 11 at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium. This loss gives the Oilers an overall record of 1-3-0 and a conference record of 0-2-0.
In the first half, the Oilers were outshot by the Storm 7-3. The Oilers attained one shot on goal, while the Storm had five shots on goal.
Thirty minutes into the game, Lake Erie scored five yards from the goal off of an outside cross to slot the ball in the right side of the net. This ended the half 1-0 in favor of the Storm.
The second half was scoreless, with Findlay having seven shots to Lake Erie's five shots to end the game 1-0.
Throughout the game, the Oilers and Storm both received seven fouls and the Storm received two yellow cards.
Men's soccer will take the pitch again on Wednesday, September 14 at 4:00pm at DeHaven Field.
