The 2017-18 athletic season at Findlay was one of the best in school history as multiple athletes and teams saw success at both the conference and national level. The UF media relations staff has put together a top-10 list of individual performances from the year and will release them throughout the summer months.
#10 | Josh Burton | Men's Soccer
A native of Carharrack, Cornwall, Josh Burton put together one of the best men's soccer seasons in recent memory. In 2017, Burton led the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) in shots (96), shots on goal (47), goals (12), and points (28). His 96 shots also established a new record at Findlay.
For his efforts, Burton was named first team all-G-MAC, just the 12th Oilers player since 2000 to be named first team all-conference. He was also named first teaqm all-region by the D2CCA, the first player in 12 years to earn that honor.
Burton helped lead an Oilers team that finished 13-6, the most wins in a season since 2001 and just one win shy of the all-time record of 14 which was set in 1992.
