The University of Findlay men's and women's swimming and diving teams wrapped up the first day of competition at the Eastern Michigan University on Friday, December 3 in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
On the women's side, Nikki Schnell-McCoy took 12th in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:07.32 to lead the squad and also teamed with Emily Thomas, Ailsa Hershaw and Tanya Tikhonova to place 14th in the 400-yard freestyle relay at 3:41.21.
Hershaw also added a 13th place finish in the 200-yard backstroke at 2:07.33 while Mallory Ament was 14th in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 18:27.22.
John Bogart led the men by taking 18th in the 200-yard breaststroke at 2:23.37 while David Conti placed 19th in the same event at 2:26.17.
The event will conclude tomorrow evening.
