Oilers Complete Wake Forest Invitational
The University of Findlay men's and women's outdoor track and field teams completed the second day of the Wake Forest Invitational on Saturday, March 19 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and were led by Raven Clay, who won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.60.
Clay also took 15th in the 100-meter dash (12.64) and teamed with Jhazmyn Anderson, Christine Zimmermann and Lindsey Schmitmeyer to place eighth in the 4x400-meter relay (3:53.34).
Bethany Grimes (5'1) and Laura Kelly (5'1) took third and fifth, respectively, in the high jump as well.
On the men's side, John Guagenti, Simon Bernard, Curtis Smithey and Greg Schaible were second in the 4x400-meter relay with a provisional time of 3:13.82 while Justin Eilerman finished 11th in the 1500-meter at 4:02.41.
Guagenti was also 14th in the 200-meter dash at 21.85.
The Oilers will be back in action again on March 26 at the Yellow Jacket Open in Cedarville, Ohio.
