Guagenti, Arce Capture Honors from USTFCCCA

Senior John Guagenti and head coach Marc Arce of The University of Findlay men's indoor track and field teams were honored by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Friday, March 2 for their performances this season.

Guagenti was tabbed the Midwest Region Athlete of the Year a week after being named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Athlete of the Year.

The Bluffton, Ohio native ranks in the top ten nationally in the 400-meter run and as a member of Findlay's 4x400-meter relay team.

Arce, who was named the 2012 GLIAC Co-Coach of the Year on the men's side, led the Oilers to a third-place finish at the conference championship.  His athletes have achieved five automatic and seven provisional marks this indoor season. The team is ranked third in the region and ninth in the nation heading into the championship.
