On Saturday, October 1, The University of Findlay swimming and diving team wrapped up competition in Ashland, Ohio on day two of the Ashland University Invitational.
Junior Janko Radmanovic finished the 200 butterfly with a "B" time of 1:51.19 to grab 2nd place.
Sophomore Trae Gulgin claimed 3rd in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:02.28.
The men finished the invitational in 3rd place behind Northern Michigan and Ashland University with 709.5 points.
Senior Meri Cizmar continued to perform well in pool for the Oilers. She placed 1st in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:08.01. Junior Emma Barnes finished 3rd in the same event after finishing at the 2:12.31 mark.
Freshman Lauren Blanchard also took home a 3rd place finish with a time of 54.97 in the 100 freestyle.
The 400 freestyle relay team of Blanchard, sophomore Amanda Stiegal, Snell, and Barnes took home 1st with a time of 3:40.35.
The women finished the invitational in 2nd place behind Northern Michigan University with 948 points.
The Oilers return to the pool on Saturday, October 15 at Saginaw Valley State University with a 1:00 p,m, start.
