Findlay, OH – The University of Findlay men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed against Wayne State University on Friday, January 19. The women defeated Wayne State with a score of 120-104, while the men fell with a score of 122-99.

The women received seven first place finishes during the meet and Emma Barnes had two of those first place finishes, with a 4:38.55 time in the 400 yard IM and a 5:18.87 time in the 500 yard freestyle.

Kathryn Samuelson won the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 59.64 while the 100 yard breaststroke was taken by Hanna Cederholm with a time of 1:05.84.

Amanda Stiegal captured first in the 200 yard freestyle with a 1:56.66 finish and Sydney Zimdars achieved a 10:56.10 time in the 1000 yard freestyle to take first place.

The 200 yard medley relay team of Samuelson, Cederholm, Lauren Blanchard, and Katy Kouvaris also won with a time of 1:47.04.

The men received one first place finish by Mark Billeaud in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:49.73.

The Oilers will be back in action on Saturday, January 20 when they travel to Bellarmine. The meet is set to begin at 1:00 PM.
