Findlay, OH – The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) have announced freshman Kendra Polewski as the league's first Swimmer of the Week of the 2018-19 season on Wednesday, Oct. 24.
Polewski had a breakout performance at Toledo this past weekend. Facing off against the Division I Rockets and the no. 7 ranked team in Division II in UIndy, Polewski took first place in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:52.6 which was a 'B' standard and the second-best time in DII this season. It was the only 'B' standard in the G-MAC this week. She also took second in the 100 fly with a time of 57.90 which is the 13th fastest time in the country this season. She rounded out her day with a win in the 500 free with a time of 5:07.14.
This is the first Swimmer of the Week award of Polewski's career.
