Findlay, OH – The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) has announced freshman Kendra Polewski as the league's second Swimmer of the Week of the 2018-19 season on Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Polewski, who has now won Swimmer of the Week in consecutive weeks, again proved to be one of the top swimmers in the region as she took first in the 50 free with a time of 24.56, less than a half-second shy of earning a B cut in the event. She later took first place in the 100 free with a time of 53.00, the 15th-fastest time in the country this year. Her final solo win came in the 500 free where she out-touched the field with a time of 5:06.58, the 10th-best time in the country this year and less than two seconds shy of the B cut in the event. Her fourth win of the meet vs. Saginaw Valley St. came in the coed 400 free relay where she teamed up with Amanda Stiegal, Chris McFarland, and Julia Snell to win with a time of 3:28.29.
This is the second Swimmer of the Week award of Polewski's career.
