Findlay, Ohio - After helping guide the Oilers to wins over both Hillsdale College and Lewis University, Findlay senior swimmer Amanda Stiegal has earned Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Women's Athlete of the Week.
Stiegal, a native of Wheaton, Illinois, won a pair of freestyle events for Findlay. Her first win came in the 200-free where she out-touched the field with a time of 1:59.49. She later took first place in the 500-free with a 5:24.06. She capped off her night with a win in the 200 freestyle relay where she swam the opening leg of a relay squad that finished in 1:40.07, a second-and-a-half faster than the second place team, Hillsdale.
This is the fourth consecutive week that the Oilers have earned Female Swimmer of the Week and is the first Swimmer of the Week award in the all-American, Steigal's, career.
