Oilers Earn Six All-American Titles


The University of Findlay men's and women's track and field teams completed the second day of the 2018 NCAA DII Indoor Track and Field Championships in Pittsburg, Kansas on March 10. The Oilers earned four more All-American titles today, to claim a total of six at the national championship.


Junior Austin Combs earned All-American status in the men's shot put, throwing for 18.53m (60-09.50) and taking fourth place. Combs' throw beat his previous Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) record. He now owns the four longest throws in G-MAC history.

Junior George Effah became an All-American in the men's 400 meter dash by running a 48.03, taking sixth place in the event.


Senior Milani Glass took third place in the women's 60 meter hurdles, running an 8.36 and earning All-American honors.

Senior Alex DeVincentis took third in the women's shot put, earning All-American status and breaking her previous conference record, with a throw of 15.56 (51-00.75). DeVincentis now holds the top seven longest throws in G-MAC history.
