Findlay, Ohio - For the second time this season, Findlay junior Eldred Henry has earned his place as the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) DII Men's Field Athlete of the Week. He last won the award on January 15 of this year.
Henry earned the award after his performance that wowed spectators at the Great Midwest Athlete Conference (G-MAC) Championship this past weekend. The British Virgin Islands native took the championship in the shot put with a throw of 20.61m (67-7.5) which was enough to set the NCAA Division II record by almost two feet, breaking the record set in 2014. That throw is the fourth best in the country this season in any division and ranks 19th in the world this year.
The day before, Henry took fourth place in the weight throw, as well.
For his performance, Henry was named G-MAC Men's Field Athlete of the Meet.
