Oilers Ranked 8th in National Poll

The University of Findlay men's indoor track and field team is ranked eighth in the latest United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll, which was released on Feb. 26.

The Oilers are coming off of a runner-up finish at the 2019 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC). Senior Eldred Henry led the way by taking a league championship in the shot put with a NCAA Division II record throw of 20.61m. For his performance at the event, Henry was named the Field Athlete of the Meet.

In addition, Xavier Marable was named the Freshman Athlete of the Meet after winning the 400-meter dash with a fieldhouse record time of 47.11.
