Findlay, Ohio – After helping guide the Oilers women's basketball team to their fourth consecutive win this week, sophomore Sydney Kin has been named as the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Player of the Week on Monday, January 13. This marks the second consecutive week that Kin has earned the conference award.
In two conference wins, Kin averaged 19.5 points per game while shooting 50 percent from the floor (13-26) and averaged 11.5 rebounds per game. She also recorded three blocks and made 13-of-16 shots from the charity stripe on the week.
Against Cedarville on Thursday, Kin pulled down a career-high 16 rebounds while scoring 16 points and in Saturday's win, Kin scored 23 points including the game-winning free-throw with just four-tenths of a second on the clock.
The Oilers are back on the court on Saturday, January 18 when they will take on Kentucky Wesleyan at home.
