Oilers Break School Record, Finish 2nd At Ferris State
The University of Findlay women's golf team, who broke a school record for the lowest 18-hole score with a 306 on Saturday, came back on Sunday, September 25 and bettered their mark by firing a 304 at the Bulldog Invitational. The Oilers ended the tournament in second place with a two-round score of 610, which is also a new school record for 36-holes.
Lauren Vogt, who set a school record for lowest 18-hole score with a 70 (-2) on Saturday, carded a 76 on Sunday and ended the tournament in a tie for second place with a 146. The 146 ties the school record for lowest 36-hole score as former standout Stephanie Gillette did it during the 2007 season at Gannon.
The Oilers will be back in action again on October 9-10 when they host the Bing-Beall Classic at the Findlay Country Club
