Oilers Finish 4th At Bing-Beall Classic


The University of Findlay women's golf team finished fourth at the Bing-Beall Fall Classic, which was hosted by the Oilers at the Findlay Country Club.  The Oilers shot a two-round score of 646 (320, 326) at the event, which ended on Monday, October 10.

Lauren Vogt and Brooke Albers both tied for 13th at the event to lead the team as they turned in two-round scores of 160.

Vogt shot a 79 in the first round and came back with an 81 in the second while Albers fired an 82 on the first day and a 78 during the second round of competition.

Ashley Gubser finished 20th with a 162 (77, 85) while Michele Schambs fired a 164 (82, 82), which was good for 23rd at the event.

Trelyn Gerlinger (86, 88 - 174), Hillary Lawrence (100, 86 - 186), Emily Mock (94, 96 - 190) and Heather Steiner (85, 108 - 193) also competed for Findlay at the event.

The Oilers will be back in action again on October 17-18 at the Dayton Invitational.
