The University of Findlay women's golf team completed the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational on April 8 at the Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green, Ohio. The Oilers finished the tournament in eighth place with a 36-hole score of 628 (311, 317).
Junior Makenzie Torres led the team and finished fifth at the tournament with a 6-over par score of 150. Torres shot a 77 in the opening round and then came back with a 1-over par score of 73 in the second for her total.
Sophomore Samantha Kellstrom tied for 49th with a 162 (85, 77) and junior Samantha Hatter and senior Kelsey Koesters tied for 65th with a 165. Hatter posted an 83 and 82 in her two rounds while Koesters went 80, 85.
Sophomore Mikaela Hickey tied for 90th with a 180 (85, 95) as well.
The Oilers will be back in action again on April 16-17 when they compete in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championship. The event will be held at Four Bridges Country Club in Liberty Twp., Ohio.
