The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team began their season with a 17-4 win at home against Davenport University.
The Oilers jumped out to an 11-2 lead at the break and cruised through the second half for the victory. They outshot the Panthers 35-10 and held a 31-15 advantage in ground balls.
Senior Olivia Sherman led the offensive attack with five goals and three assists. She also won four draws.
Junior Claire Ferrell picked up the win and made six saves in the game.
The Oilers will be back in action again on March 7 when they hit the road to face Wingate University.
