The University of Findlay wrestling program sent a few individuals to the Ohio Northern Invitational on Dec. 6 in Ada, Ohio. Freshman Josh Wimer led the way by taking first place in the 133-pound weight class.
Wimer finished the event with a 4-0 record to earn the gold. He topped Alma's Zach Case in the finals by a 6-2 decision to win his weight class.
Sophomore Bradley Metz also competed at the tournament and concluded the event with a 2-2 mark at 174.
The Roughnecks will return to the mats again on Dec. 13-14 at the Midwest Classic in Indianapolis, Ind.
