Roughnecks Fall to #6 Lakers

Erie, PA – The University of Findlay wrestling team lost their dual match with #6 Mercyhurst University on Saturday, Jan. 21 by a score of 25-17.

Findlay got a win at 133 pounds from sophomore Devin Rogers as he took down Jeff Sisk by a 6-3 decision.

The next win for the Roughnecks was the biggest of the day as senior Nick Goebel, ranked #1 in the country at 149 pounds, dominiated Logan Glass, winning by technical fall, 15-0 in just 5:51.

Senior Joey White, ranked #10 in the nation at 157 pounds, earned the only pin of the day for Findlay, taking down his opponent in just 1:27.

The Roughnecks are back in action on Jan. 27-28 when they take part in the Super Region II Duals in Coker, South Carolina.
