Indianapolis, Ind. - The University of Findlay wrestling team, ranked no. 16 in the country, fell at the hands of no. 9 University of Indianapolis on Wednesday, Jan. 17. The dual took place in Indianapolis, Ind. at the Ruth Lilly Fitness Center and marked the fourth consecutive dual in which the Roughnecks have taken on a top-ten opponent. Findlay lost the event by a score of 30-11.
Findlay got their first win of the night at 133 pounds when Michael Stewart earned a 10-1 major decision over Dillon Hurst and later picked up another victory at 149 when Josh Wimer won in sudden victory (5-3) over Angelo Robles.
The final victory of the day for the Roughnecks came at 184 pounds when Bradley Metz, the reighing Great Midwest Wrestler of the Week and ranked no. 7 in the country, defeated no. 11 Brody Conner by major decision, 8-0.
