The University of Findlay women's soccer team took on St. Joseph's College at DeHaven Field and came away with a 4-0 victory on Sep. 4. This win opens the season with a 1-0 record.
The Oilers took the lead when senior Kirsten Fruchey headed a through-ball to teammate freshman Marissa Swindell who placed the ball in the far corner of the net. Senior Madison Brooker gained the team their second goal off an assist from senior Katelyn Anderson. Freshman Karis Dewalt earned her first assist of the season when senior captain Kate Prewitt scored a header off a corner kick. The lady Oilers capped their goal scoring when senior Kendall Kwiatkowski scored off a pass into the box from Swindell.
The Oilers are back in action Sunday Sept. 6 against opponent Southern Indiana.
