Big Rapids, MI- The University of Findlay women's soccer team lost to the Ferris State Bulldogs 1-0 on Friday, October 14. This loss gives the Oilers a 3-9-1 overall record and a 1-5-1 record in the GLIAC.
Thirteen minutes into the first half, the Bulldogs took an early 1-0 lead by a shot over the keeper.
At the end of the first half, the Oilers had five shots to the Bulldog's eight shots.
In the second half, senior Kate Prewitt and senior Nicole Mikolcic lead the Oilers defense to keep the Bulldogs out of the net.
Junior goalkeeper Sarah Baer had a total of nine saves to Ferris State's eight saves.
At the end of the game, the Oilers had a total of twelve shots with eight shots on goal to the Bulldog's sixteen shots with ten shots on goal.
The Oilers will take the field again on Sunday, October 16 in Allendale Michigan at 1:00pm against #2 Grand Valley State University.
