The University of Findlay women's soccer team will open their season on Aug. 31 when they host Illinois-Springfield at DeHaven Field. The Oilers will also be playing host to Southern Indiana and Tiffin during their opening weekend event.

The Oilers were picked to finish ninth in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) this season and are coming off of a 5-11-1 record in 2016. Sophomore Sierra Peacock returns after scoring a team-high six goals last year.
Illinois-Springfield finished last season with a 7-11 record and were picked to finish 14th in the Great Lakes Valley Conference this season. Junior Maggie Juhlin returns as the team's top offensive playmaker, coming off a four-goal season in 2016.
Southern Indiana finished the 2016 campaign with a 9-9-1 record and were picked to finish ninth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference this season. The Screaming Eagles return seven of its top-nine leading scorers from last year, including junior Ryley Hancock, who led the team with 14 points.
Tiffin finished the 2016 season with a 3-15 record and were picked to place ninth in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) this year. Senior Adrianna Currie returns after posting three goals and four assists for the Dragons last season.
