Vienna, WV – The University of Findlay women's soccer team fell to the Ohio Valley University Fighting Scots in a 4-0 final on September 21 in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference contest. The loss moves the Oilers to 2-6 overall and a 1-3 record in the G-MAC.
Findlay went down 0-1 early in the first half and would go into halftime facing the same deficit. The second half was all Fighting Scots, as they tacked on three more goals before the match reached the decision.
Freshman Nicole Burke was in front of the net for Findlay and recorded four saves for the day. The only shots on goal for the Oilers came from sophomore Chloe Marburger, freshman Sierra Perry, and freshman Karleigh Clere. Findlay had four corner kick opportunities and recorded just two fouls.
The Oilers will be back on the field Saturday, September 23 when they travel to Cedarville to take on the Yellow Jackets. The G-MAC matchup is set to kick-off at 7:00 PM.
