Cedarville, OH - The University of Findlay women's soccer team was victorious in G-MAC conference play versus Ursuline College on Saturday, October 14 in a SCORE final. The win boosts the Oilers to 4-11 overall with a 3-8 record in the G-MAC, while Ursuline falls to 6-6-1 overall with a 6-5 record in the conference.
The Oilers fell behind midway through the first half on an Arrows unassissted goal and went into halftime facing the 1-0 deficit.
The Arrows lead did not last long, as the Oilers evened the score in the 57th minute on a goal from sophomore Sierra Peacock.
Only three minutes later, Findlay took the lead on another goal from Peacock. These were the 5th and 6th goals for Peacock's season and she leads the team in this category. Both of the goals were unassissted.
The rest of the match remained scoreless, giving Findlay the 2-1 decision.
Findlay fired off 18 shots to Cedarville's 17, with eight being on goal to Ursuline's 7.
Sophomore Anna Money received the decision at goal keeper for the Oilers, recording 6 saves on the day.
The Oilers will be back in action on October 19 when the host Trevecca Nazarene for a Great Midwest contest. The match is set to begin at 4:00 PM.
