Findlay, OH – The University of Findlay women's soccer team hosted the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers on Sunday, Sept. 2 at 1:00 PM at DeHaven Field. Despite going into double overtime, the match ended in a draw with a score of 0-0. The draw gives the Oilers a record of 1-0-1 while the Panthers move to 0-1-1 on the season.
The Oilers started the game with intensity by getting a shot off just two minutes into the game. Findlay would continue attacking the net, finishing the first half with six shots. The Oilers outshot the Panthers 20 to 5 but were unable to score to secure a win. Junior Anna Money was in net for the Oilers and made three saves.
Sophomore Shannon Marsh and freshman Olivia Frank both recorded five shots while freshman Sami Hild had three. Senior Megan Kupetz tallied two shots along with junior Ashley Rings. The Oilers had nine total corner kick opportunities and 11 fouls.
Findlay will be hosting Ursuline at DeHaven Field on Thursday, September 6. The G-MAC matchup is set to kick off at 4:00 PM.
