Oilers Remain No. 2 in Midwest Region

The University of Findlay women's soccer team is ranked second in the second NCAA Division II Midwest Regional poll of the year, which was released on Nov. 6.

The regional rankings, voted on by the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Committee, are the basis for awarding seeds in the NCAA Championship. The top eight seeds in the final poll of the season will qualify for the 2019 NCAA Division II National Tournament with the top-seed earning the right to host the first three contests of the event.

The Oilers are 13-1-1 on the year and are coming off of a 3-0 win at Tiffin on Nov. 5 that enabled them to capture their first Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) regular season title. They are the top seed in the conference tournament and will host Malone University on Nov. 9 at 2pm in the quarterfinal round.
